What a powerful call today with one of my favorite clients. She’s so creative, innovative and energetic. And she was dealing with NDS Syndrome…Not Doing S*#%! She was so frustrated about not putting any time or energy into her new business venture even though she said she wanted to. She said she actually was feeling That this was a “desperate existence” in which she had to spend so much time to just keep her “head above water”. Not good at all for a brilliant, talented woman who is capable of so much more success and Joy than that!
In the course of our call it became clear that her current business–which is a very healthy income stream–is not nearly automated enough to leave her free to go on to develop anything else. Once we discussed the preliminary steps to take to put the systems in place to run the primary business, she realized that there’s no way she could have kept working on the new one. It really was putting the cart before the horse. And her Inner Guidance was what kept her from spinning her wheels ‘working on’ the new project.
So instead of feeling frustrated, now she was feeling free! Yes! Freedom was the main thing she felt when she let herself imagine and describe aloud that all of the changes which need to happen in the original business have been made and she has the time to develop new ventures and actually ENJOY HER LIFE! She could feel that now it was not ‘all about the business’. Tapping into that quantum reality allowed her to get a vibrational hit of what it will be like energetically and emotionally when she’s there. Nice!! This makes a very strong case for building a business that supports your lifestyle, not the other way around.
We also discussed the idea of letting go of something of a lower order–the way she’s done business for a full decade, to embrace something of a higher order–the freedom to BE what she wants to be and LIVE what she wants to live, and the clarity that it’s never just about the business. She realized that she had now shifted into much greater alignment with the place her soul had been calling her to.
She’s got homework: the concrete, action steps to take that make sense now in terms of where it all is and what it all needs. Nothing random, all organically inspired and quite systematic.
Once again, pretty good, pretty darn good for 30 minutes!
